Greece currently hosts over 214,000 refugees and almost 20,000 asylum-seekers, half of whom wish to remain in the country. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps ensure these individuals understand their rights and provides them with job training, while also advocating for their rights, so that they can rebuild their lives.
The International Rescue Committee provides vital support to people in Italy whose lives and livelihoods have been devastated by conflict and disaster. We operate a variety of programs across Italy with a strong focus on supporting vulnerable populations, including refugees, asylum seekers, women and children.

The International Rescue Committee is supporting government and local nonprofit agencies in Germany as they assist more than 1 million people fleeing conflict. We're sharing our expertise in education for refugee children and youth, the special protection needs of women fleeing crisis, and ways to prepare refugees to join the workforce and contribute to their new communities.
The International Rescue Committee provides vital support to refugees in Serbia who are fleeing war and unable to continue their journey to safety. Many are trying to reunite with relatives in western and northern Europe. And hundreds are children sent alone by parents who desperately desire a safer, better life for them.
Ukrainian refugees remain in Poland, where the IRC and our partners are providing vital safety and support to families across the country.
