On the evening of September 28, the IRC in Atlanta’s Executive Director, Justin Howell, was invited to speak as part of an important panel discussion following a screening of The U.S. and the Holocaust, a new three-part documentary by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick and Sarah Botstein that examines America’s response to one of the greatest humanitarian crises of the twentieth century.

The Afghan Senior Social Club brings together senior citizens from Afghanistan (ages 65+) once every month to learn about resources and programs for elderly and immigrant communities in Atlanta.

The IRC helps people whose lives have been shattered by conflict and disaster, reaching those who need it most despite politics, hostilities or harsh climates.

In early February, the IRC in Salt Lake City’s Spice Kitchen Incubator hosted Congressman Ben McAdams and colleague Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy (FL) at a gathering focused on meeting with refugee aid community leaders and learning more about programs that help refugees and other New Americans reach self-sufficiency.
