Most of Mohamed and Mumina's family members made it to the U.S. in 2017, but some remain separated in Dadaab, Kenya uncertain when they will see their relatives again.

While progress has been made in bringing diverse development and humanitarian actors together under the leadership of host governments to address the needs of refugees and host communities, more still needs to be done to meet their urgent needs.

Despite the challenges facing him, Mohamed persevered to achieve his dream of becoming a citizen.
