Early in February, the IRC in Salt Lake City hosted a Legislative Briefing on Utah’s participation in the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP), in partnership with Catholic Community Services, the Refugee Services Office, and sponsored by Senator Daniel Thatcher.

Both new and old community partners are helping the IRC in Richmond staff keep clients connected and safe during COVID-19.

Through a partnership with TripAdvisor, the IRC in NY has been celebrating clients' successes and achievements with opportunities to explore New York's many notable landmarks and experiences. This past month, Career Development Program participants visited Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty in recognition of IRC clients' hard work to realize their career goals.

The IRC in NY took an interdepartmental approach to innovate a new program in partnership with WeWork to help refugee and immigrant employees build their professional skills in their own workplace.

In Los Angeles, Mayor Eric Garcetti, who chairs C4C with the mayors of Chicago and New York, made the initiative his signature citizenship-building program. He selected IRC as one of just five organizations—and the only refugee resettlement agency—to implement his plan. The result has been extraordinary.

Meet Cristina & Kailah, Bank of America Student Leaders! Through a partnership with Bank of America, the IRC in Salt Lake City facilitated an eight-week work experience for the two high school students, both of whom plan to continue on to higher education this fall.
