Help refugee families feel welcomed this holiday season We are still in need of community sponsors to join us for the holidays! Help fulfill the holiday wish list of a newly arrived refugee family through our annual gift drive, Winter Welcome. Connect with your family, friends, coworkers or other networks to gather much-needed items and other wish list gifts.

On January 6th, more than 100 refugee families who arrived in Washington this past year received a warm welcome to our community! Hundreds of community members joined us for the Winter Welcome Festival, where we celebrated the new year together with food, games, gifts, and lots of fun!

This holiday season, give refugee and asylum-seeking families a 'winter welcome' with much-needed in-kind donation items as well as gift cards which allow families to purchase exactly what they need.

Update: February 24, 2021. The IRC responded to extreme winter weather conditions affecting Texas, causing blackouts and water shortages. Both IRC locations in Dallas and Abilene are still closed however staff are actively responding to client needs remotely.

In a warm and generously provided space, IRC staff and clients celebrated the end of 2018 in style.
