Disclaimer*** We kindly request volunteers to commit at least 3 months of service for regularly scheduled support, otherwise choosing an appointment specific volunteer opportunity would be more appropriate.  

LOCATION: In-office 

TIME COMMITMENT: 2 hours minimum 

Responsibilities:  

  • Volunteers will be non-client facing, assisting in overseeing referrals and need for the ICM team 
  • Volunteer will help to determine throughout referrals which individuals qualify for ICM enrollment
  • Refer families that do not qualify for ICM, to a community partner that can offer further support 
  • Record hours and submit a completed timesheet at the end of each month via the IRC’s online Volunteer Dashboard

Requirements:

  • Due to the sensitive information on ICM referrals a volunteer would need to work in the IRC office on a regular basis
  • Commit at least 3 months of service; Availability a few hours a week or every other week is required to work through influx of referrals
  • Reliability, attention to detail
  • Work well under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptive to change
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19
  • Willing to adhere to IRC Volunteer and workplace policies, including confidentiality policies

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: In accordance with IRC’s duty to provide and maintain a workplace that is free of known hazards and our commitment to safeguard the health of our employees, clients, and communities, IRC requires all volunteers who are interested in providing in-person support for our work to furnish proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to be onboarded for the position. If proof of vaccine cannot be provided, volunteers may still apply for virtual-only roles.
