The IRC in Atlanta’s Community Sponsorship program provides high level engagement opportunities for community groups to help newly arrived refugees integrate into local communities. The HOME Program is the most hands-on way a community group can get involved in supporting and building a meaningful relationship with newly arrived refugee families and can aid in overall self-sufficiency.

A HOME Team is a group of 6-10 individuals, who make a six-month commitment and a $5,000 financial contribution to assist in the areas of Housing, Orientation, Mentorship, and Education. HOME Teams accept, through a written agreement with IRC, the responsibility to provide half or more of the resettlement core services to a newly arriving client family.
