RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist employable clients in securing their first job in the U.S: Resume creation, job application and interview assistance, accompanying clients to interviews, employer/employee follow up, and documentation of self-sufficiency
- Mapping out client locations and location/job matching
- Help assess supportive needs for each individual client. This includes the need for childcare assistance, special transportation consideration, donation needs and troubleshoot barrier removal
- Provide public transportation training, as needed
- Provide gender equitable services to promote gender parity in services and economic potential amongst all clients
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to obtain an Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 3-4 hours of availability, Mon-Fri 9-5 PM
- Cultural competency & consideration
- Excellent written & verbal skills
- Human resources or workforce development experience is encouraged, though not required
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable with outreach activities
- Strong interest in refugee and asylee issues as well as in workforce development
