The Employer Engagement Volunteer will help expand employment opportunities for refugees and immigrants by conducting outreach to local businesses and tracking hiring trends. This role is ideal for volunteers interested inbusiness development, workforce engagement, and community outreach. 

 

COMMITMENT: Requires at least 4-8 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. 

 

LOCATION: DFW area.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Research and reach out to potential employer partners.
  • Develop and maintain a database of hiring contacts and job opportunities.
  • Communicate with employers about the benefits of hiring refugees and immigrants.
  • Assist in organizing networking events and job fairs.
  • Support administrative tasks related to employment tracking and reporting.  mock interviews and provide feedback.

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Interest in employment services, workforce development, or business outreach.
  • Ability to conduct independent research and maintain organized records.
  • Comfortable making cold calls or sending outreach emails.
