SCOPE OF INTERN WORK:
The Digital Marketing Intern will work with the Microenterprise Development Program team to develop and execute marketing strategies aimed at increasing the visibility of our business owners’ childcare services. This includes managing social media accounts, creating engaging content, and utilizing various digital marketing tools to reach potential clients.
Location:
Turlock Office and Virtual
Time Commitment:
Interns-a minimum of 240 hours to be completed during business hours 9a-5p, M-F.
Volunteers- a minimum of 3 hrs weekly virtual or in person. In person hours to be completed during business hours M-F 9am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the development and implementation of marketing strategies.
- Creating and managing social media content.
- Utilizing various digital marketing tools to reach potential clients.
- Collaborating with business owners to understand their needs and goals.
- Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
- Engaging with potential clients through email and other forms of digital communication.
- Measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media management and digital marketing tools.
- Designing and creating promotional flyers for distribution to potential clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for helping others and making a positive impact in the community.
- Preferably fluent in Farsi, Dari, or Pashto (as many of our business owners speak these languages).
This position reports to theMicroenterpriseBusiness Counselor.
- This is an unpaid internship
- Work-related driving is eligible for reimbursement at the IRS Charitable Rate.
- Internships are available for current college students starting in their second year, graduate students, and graduates less than 2 years post-graduation. Course credit is available if the student coordinates with their university and confirms the appropriate paperwork with the Volunteer Coordinator.
