The Client Caller Volunteer will support caseworkers by maintaining regular communication with refugee and immigrant clients. Volunteers will conduct check-in calls to assess client needs, provide information, and document any concerns or requests for follow-up. This role is essential in ensuring ongoing client support and facilitating access to necessary services. 

 

COMMITMENT: Flexible support hours 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Make 15-20 minute check-in calls to refugee families to asses their resettlement progress
  • Work with translators when necessary to ensure effective communication
  • Document client questions, concerns, and requests for follow-up by caseworkers
  • Provide general information and guidance on available resources and services
  • Escalate urgent needs or challenges to caseworkers for further assistance
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions in tracking systems 

     

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage with diverse populations
  • Comfortable with making phone calls and engaging in structured conversations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow data protection guidelines
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and data entry
