The Administration Support Volunteer will provide essential administrative assistance to support refugee and immigrant clients. This role will involve assisting with paperwork, organizing files, and coordinating essential services such as healthcare appointments and school enrollments. Volunteers will work closely with staff across various programs to ensure clients receive timely and accurate assistance.

 

COMMITMENT: Requires at least 4-8 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. 

 

LOCATION: DFW area.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist clients with completing HHSC application and other required paperwork
  • Support families with school enrollment documentation and processes
  • Schedule medical and social service appointments for clients and needed
  • Provide resume updates and basic job application assistance
  • Update and organize digital files in Box and other storage systems
  • Maintain and organize physical and digital resource materials for staff and clients

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and file management systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
