For Volunteer Appreciation Month, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Salt Lake City shares the impact of Housing Support Volunteers who ensure a home is ready for newly arriving refugee families.

The IRC in Florida has provided emergency housing assistance to 16 families across Florida, which equates to 160 individuals. The Florida Crisis Prevention fund addresses emergency housing needs by providing payments towards rent and utilities.

The IRC mentoring program helps refugee and asylee youth to stay connected and improve their English over the summer.
