Kimiya is a health access volunteer and joined the IRC in Salt Lake City in July. Since then, she has provided crucial support for families: from supporting access to health checkups to advocating on behalf of individuals during appointments.

As an immigration intern at the IRC in Salt Lake City, Desi Crane spent her summer supporting refugees, asylees and other immigrants as they navigated the U.S. immigration system.

Over the past year, the IRC in Salt Lake City has completed 100 citizenship applications and has supported 46 individuals to become new U.S. citizens. Learn about how the immigration team has impacted this support!
