The IRC in Atlanta’s Career Development and Adult Education programs, in collaboration with Gwinnett Dental Career Academy (GDCA), recently graduated a second cohort of three former refugees—all young women from Afghanistan—through their Integrated Education and Training (IET) Dental Assistant course, a ten-week program focused on certifying new Americans in dental care and placing them in jobs.

Through the IRC in Salt Lake City’s early employment program, Iver, an asylee from Venezuela, found a job in his preferred field as he and his family began their life in the United States.

TIME Magazine recently named Mustafa Hassan one of its 100 most influential people for his work providing aid to Syria’s children.

The IRC recognizes that with support and investment, adolescent girls can transform their lives and their communities. Working with girls instead of on behalf of girls, the IRC’s programs are driven and led by girls in a way that empowers them long into the future.
