13-year old Zain from Karachi, Pakistan is a student in IRC’s Refugee Youth Summer Academy preparing for school in New York this fall.

In May, Elie, his wife Delphine, and four children arrived in Salt Lake City from a Kenyan refugee camp. Elie hopes for a better future for his children in Utah as he works hard to achieve his family's dreams.

The IRC in Los Angeles is hosting its end-of-year WHV Donation Drive & Assembling Event on Saturday, October 28th between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We hope to collect specific items to make Welcome Kits for newly arrived refugee families. It is easy to help!
