Nazir was the Managing intern for the IRC in NY Education & Learning department. In this role, Nazir supported the Newcomer Youth Summer Academy (NYSA) program, including helping children from over 20 countries receive academic and social-emotional learning during the summer of 2022. 

In the first installation of Youth Voices, a Dallas high school student, resettled by the IRC in 2013, pens an essay on the importance of African and African American historical representation in school.

For the first time, Flavia, a budding writer resettled as a refugee by the IRC in Salt Lake City, is sharing her work with the community.
