Education at the International Rescue Committee: Primary-school aged children
The IRC’s education programming for primary school-aged children has three overarching goals: (1) to ensure that children enroll in and attend school regularly; (2) to protect children from all forms of violence in school and on their way to school; and (3) to build fundamental reading, math and social-emotional skills.

Empowering refugee youth through tutoring
Manal believes that tutoring becomes a more meaningful experience when both student and tutor feel comfortable enough to share a piece of themselves in the session. She looks forward to Wednesday evenings on Zoom – not necessarily to the math homework she’ll be helping a student with, but what the student will teach her.
