The global crisis of child wasting is worsening due to conflict, climate change, economic hardship, and lingering COVID-19 effects. With undernutrition responsible for nearly half of child deaths under five, urgent action is needed to scale up prevention, detection, and treatment services.
Ahead of the Nutrition for Growth Summit 2025, to maximize collective impact on child survival in the hunger and nutrition crisis, the Wasting Advocacy Coalition calls for increased investment and prioritization in global efforts to combat this deadly issue, ensuring that every child has access to the life-saving support they need.
