This two-pager highlights the success of the REACH consortium, led by the IRC and funded by Gavi, in providing lifesaving immunization to children in conflict-affected areas across the Horn of Africa. By negotiating with non-state actors and leveraging local networks, REACH has significantly increased vaccine accessibility, reaching 96% of target communities in the Horn of Africa. The program has immunized 880,000 children over 18 months. 

Other strategies crucial to REACH's success include rapid humanitarian assessments, community feedback, and the use of geospatial data and mobile vaccination units.
