Looking for ways to support your community?
IRC’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation services all over the country.
With proper training, with the IRC, you will provide free tax services to lower-income families, in the Phoenix area, who need the extra support and guidance when filing their tax returns.
Current Volunteer Opportunities:
Tax Screener
- Ensure the taxpayer has brought the required documents for tax return completion. (e.g. valid photo identification, Social Security card(s), W-2, 1099, 1095, prior year’s return, etc.)
Tax Preparer
- Prepare and provide high-quality tax returns to all taxpayers. Interview taxpayers using Form 13614-C, Intake/Interview & Quality Review Sheet, to determine if all income, deductions, and allowable credits are claimed.
Quality Reviewer
