Many folks recently have been asking for ways to support Afghan evacuees and other survivors of conflict and persecution served by the IRC in Turlock/Modesto. The following is a list of ways to provide assistance to our newest neighbors:

• Check out our Amazon Wish List, where items go directly to help setting up first homes for newly arrived individuals and families.

• Donate Visa, Target or Walmart gift cards of $25 or more to the IRC in Turlock/Modesto, 3446 N. Golden State Blvd., Turlock, CA 95382.

• Fundraise to support housing for Afghan evacuees across NorCal by supporting IRC NorCal’s Soft Landing Fund.

•  Urge Congress to approve legislation that will assist Afghan evacuees.
