The Microenterprise Development (MED) Program of the International Rescue Committee in Arizona helps refugee and asylee entrepreneurs in Phoenix start and expand their small businesses through the provision of technical assistance, referrals, and access to microenterprise loans. Over the life of the program, MED has helped over 200 small businesses with loans and technical assistance.
Our Refugee Business Directory provides a list of refugee businesses which have gone through the IRC MED program. Inside the Directory are businesses ranging from restaurants to artists to shops, representing cultures from Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
