Local Starbucks Locations to host Giving Wreath Gift Drive for IRC clients

The International Rescue Committee 2017 Giving Wreaths Program:

The Wichita community is invited to participate in the IRC’s Giving Wreath Holiday Drive. Community members are welcome to pick an ornament off of a tree and purchase an item for a refugee resettling in Wichita.

The items will be placed in households prior to a refugee is resettled in Wichita or given to refugees who were previously resettled in Wichita and are in need of the item.

How it works:

1. Between November 13^th and December 27th Giving Wreaths will be set-up in all Starbucks locations in Wichita and Derby.
2. Individuals may pick an ornament off of the wreath and purchase the item on the ornament.
3. Items may be returned to any Starbucks location.
4. All items will be inventoried and placed in our client’s homes prior to their arrival in Wichita or given to a refugee who was previously resettled by the IRC and may need the item.

Items needed:

• New Set of twin sheets
• New Set of double sheets
• New Set of 4 dishes
• Cookware set
• New Blankets
• New children’s blanket
• Baking pan set
• A new set of a hat, scarf and gloves
• $25 gift card for Walmart may be used to purchase items for a refugee resettling in Wichita
• $25 Kroger Gift Card may be used to purchase items for a refugee resettling in Wichita.
• $25 Amazon Gift Card may be used to purchase items for a refugee resettling in Wichita.
• $40 Payless Shoe Source Gift Card will purchase a new pair of shoes and socks for a refugee resettling in Wichita.
