This year, in honor of World Refugee Day, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) invites you to join us in a virtual camp out, on any day from June 11 to 20. Our event aims to raise crucial funds for local refugee families and to show our solidarity with the 79.5 million displaced people who have weathered the pandemic without a permanent, stable home.

There are so many ways to participate in this year’s fundraising event. Pitch a tent in your backyard, or explore the beauty of a state or national park in Central Virginia. Host a family slumber party in the living room, or invite friends to a Zoom party. However you choose to join us, share your experience on social media with the hashtag #IRCCampOut, tag the IRC in Charlottesville (@IRCCharlottesville) or the IRC in Richmond.  @IRCRichmond), and invite your friends to participate.
