The Welcome to Maryland Fund supports humanitarian immigrants who have fled their country to resettle in Maryland.
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) opened an office in Silver Spring in 2006 and Baltimore in 1999. During this time, we have welcomed over 25,000 new humanitarian immigrants to Maryland. Thank you for donating to the Welcome to Maryland Fund and supporting the resettlement of humanitarian immigrants in our communities!

Additional Information: Welcome to Maryland Fund
The Need: Refugees only receive a one-time amount of $1,075 per person to cover initial basic costs and this amount is the same regardless of where in the country they are resettled. Most refugees arriving in Maryland are coming to join family members who are often not yet financially stable themselves. As a result, the refugees served by the International Rescue Committee typically require additional support as they get on their feet in the United States.
A Solution: You can help! The Welcome to Maryland Fund provides housing assistance and other critical services for refugees who have arrived in Maryland.
