IRC Wichita Welcomes our New AmeriCorps Volunteer Coordination VISTA, Alexander

Alexander “Alex” began his AmeriCorps VISTA year as Volunteer Coordinator for IRC Wichita in March. Before coming to work at IRC Wichita, Alex worked for Interfaith Ministries which provides “programs and services to those struggling with hunger, homelessness and poverty in Wichita, Kansas.” Among his accomplishments at Interfaith Ministries, he trained and managed over 500 volunteers for Operation Holiday, an annual Holiday donation and distribution drive. In his year of service, Alex hopes to learn more “about not only myself and my community, but people from other communities I would never have had the opportunity to interact with otherwise.”
