The IRC in Silver Spring extends a warm welcome to our newest cohort of interns!  IRC interns work directly with refugees and immigrants to furnish housing, accompany refugees to medical appointments, and prepare them for job interviews. This past month, 26 interns joined the IRC in Silver Spring. One of them, Maria Boyer, returned for her third term as an IRC intern. “I enjoy interacting with refugees and being able to see the work I am doing make a difference in their lives,” Maria said about her experience.
