The IRC in NJ office was excited to host this year’s Drive in early March!
Having to resettle or navigate a significant wave of economic insecurity, many families are in need of warmer coats and winter accessories. Every year, the IRC in NJ hosts a Drive to support refugee and immigrant families prepare for the winter season. This year, the Drive returned as an in-person event, offering families the full experience with each section.
Thanks to the IRC in NJ’s partners and donors, the IRC in NJ was able to collect coats, winter accessories, clothing, hygiene essentials, diapers, shoes, and more. The IRC in NJ is grateful to all donors; among them were The Ministry of Supply, who provided formal wear clothing, No Bull, who provided shoes, and Baby2baby, who provided toys. Clients were also able to comfortably try on shoes or coats to find the right fit. Children enjoyed taking home their new science and art kits to play and learn with. There were also plush toys, board games, and more!
The IRC in NJ is thankful to all the donors that supported this event through the collection of in-kind donations. With this support, the IRC in NJ Drive was able to serve around 500 individuals.
