The IRC in Maryland is excited to announce our partnership with Whole Foods Market. We invite you to join us on January 11th to participate in Whole Food’s Community Giving day. Come meet a few of the IRC in Maryland’s incredible staff members, learn more about the work of the IRC in Maryland, and stock your pantry
while you’re there. If you are unable to attend, you can still help by sending this email to your network or by sharing details from the IRC in Silver Spring Facebook page. Every dollar we raise will help refugees living in our communities.
Funds raised will be used to provide culturally appropriate welcome food for newly arrived refugees, orienting refugees on how to access local grocery stores, and providing information about nutritious food options.
Who: The IRC in Maryland and Whole Foods Market
What: 5% of all sales at Whole Foods Market will support the IRC in Maryland
Where: Whole Foods Market stores in Bethesda, Friendship Heights, Kentlands, Rockville, and Silver Spring (include links to google maps Directions?)
When: Thursday, January 11th from 7AM-10PM (hours vary by store)
Why: To support the IRC’s mission to ensure food access to locally resettled refugees.
