In late October, the IRC in Wichita hosted our first Fall Festival for our clients. The Festival was held in the parking lot of the IRC office and over 150 clients participated in the festival.

Several of the IRC’s community partners helped to coordinate the day’s events by providing various crafts and games for clients to partake in. In total there were 15 different games and activities for the children to participate in.

A special thank you to our sponsor Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers for providing ice cream sandwiches and to Dillon’s Grocery Store for providing the snacks and beverages for the day as well. And, to several of our community sponsors who participated in the day’s events by setting up games, crafts and booths for the clients to participate in. We can’t thank you enough for sharing this tradition with our clients and helping to help refugees feel welcome in Wichita.
