Every year on North Texas Giving Day, we’re reminded just how much we love North Texas. We’re a community that bands together, supports one another, and welcomes refugees in the spirit of true Southern hospitality. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Dallas is grateful for our supportive and welcoming community.

North Texas Giving Day was Thursday, September 20th. The largest giving day in the country, North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online giving event hosted by the Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT), a long-standing partner of the IRC in Dallas. CFT is revered in the Dallas-area as pillar of strength for the entire local non-profit community.  Over 2,700 Dallas-area nonprofits participate each year.

This year, the IRC in Dallas raised $14,148.55 on North Texas Giving Day. This wellspring of generosity from our supporters will be invested right back into the community, benefiting refugees in North Texas, and North Texas community as a whole.

At this crucial time, it is important to ensure refugees, asylum seekers, and other immigrants continue to receive important life-saving services, and are welcomed fully into our community.

We are honored to have your support yesterday, today, and every day.
