Students had the chance to go behind-the-scenes at KEXP to see how a radio station functions and learned about the digitization process of their vast music library. One student even had the opportunity to play the piano in the KEXP live recording studio.

With La Marzocco, students learned about espresso machines and the essential elements for brewing the perfect cup of coffee. The latte art was a huge hit!

Connect2Work is a new IRC program for refugee high school students which began in February 2017. Connect2Work equips students for post-graduation through job readiness classes, career exploration, and college visits. Students in the program learn about HS graduation requirements, practice valuable interview and resume writing skills, and participate in activities out in the community, like the field trip to KEXP and La Marzocco.

A big thank you to our friends at La Marzocco and KEXP for supporting refugee students and facilitating this awesome opportunity!
