Denver Fashion Week (DFW) is back, and this year promises to be more spectacular than ever! As Colorado's premier fashion event, DFW attracts thousands of attendees annually, showcasing the vibrant and diverse fashion community in Denver. However, this highly anticipated event with it's shiny runway, dazzling lights, and champagne flutes is not just about glitz and glamour - it is a powerful platform for supporting non-profits and driving positive impact in the Denver community.

DFW has long been known for an inclusive approach in their planning, featuring emerging designers, local boutiques, as well as hairstylists, makeup artists, and models from all walks of life.

"DFW's mission is rooted in inclusivity, support, and empowerment for all talents, regardless of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, height, body type, or age,"

says Abraham Aharonian, Producer at 303 Magazine, and adds:

"DFW is dedicated to fostering economic growth within Colorado’s fashion and design communities, increasing visibility for our runway participants and sponsors, and curating an unparalleled fashion experience that sets the standard in Denver. We redefine the fashion landscape and celebrate the diversity of creativity at Denver Fashion Week!"

This inclusive spirit extends to DFW's support of non-profits, demonstrating that showcasing fashion can - at it's best - have a profound and positive impact on the community. And this year, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Denver has been selected as the 2024 non-profit partner for the upcoming Denver Fashion Week (November 9 to 17).

"For me, this partnership is a testament to DFW's commitment to inclusivity, support, and empowerment. By aligning with the IRC in Denver, DFW is supporting us in broadening our reach, enhancing our branding, and ultimately empowering us to continue the vital work we do right here in the Denver community,"

explains Hanna Simmons, Development Manager at the IRC in Denver. She adds:

"DFW's  collaboration with the IRC in Denver is extremely meaningful. Our staff works tirelessly to help people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. Partnering with DFW, allows us to raise awareness about our mission and the critical support we provide to refugees and other vulnerable populations here in Denver. Together, we are making an even greater difference in the lives of many and showcasing the power of community collaboration."

As we gear up for DFW 2024, the IRC in Denver invites everyone to join in celebrating not just fashion, but the incredible impact that can be made when people and organizations come together for a common cause.
