Colorado Gives Day has grown to be the state's largest 24-hour giving event, raising more than $362 million for Colorado since it began in 2010.
Join us on December 6, 2022 for this year’s Colorado Gives Day campaign! Each December, Coloradans come together with the common goal to strengthen the community by helping to power nonprofits. Community First Foundation and FirstBank partner to make this day rewarding for givers, nonprofits and the community as a whole.
This year, the IRC in Denver has set our Colorado Gives Day goal to $75,000! The commitment and support among donors, volunteers, and the welcoming community in Denver leaves no doubt in our minds about being able to reach this goal. During our 2022 Fiscal Year, the IRC in Denver:
Enrolled 330 youth in school and after school programs.
Taught 161 people in job readiness classes, digital literacy, and English conversation groups.
Filed 143 applications for citizenship, green cards, family reunification, and more!
Established our Salamati Rohi program to foster holistic well-being among our Afghan clients.
Established our Community Sponsorship program to support refugee families.
How donating to the IRC helps the community:
$50 helps a recently resettled refugee or immigrant apply for their green card, or help green-card holders apply for citizenship.
$100 supplies four children with backpacks full of school supplies
$250 sponsors after school tutoring for a refugee teen
$500 sponsors a month of Cultural Orientation & English Classes for 10 refugees
$1,000 provides 10 refugees with a month of vocational training.
These items represent many of the programs, projects, and tools that compose the IRC’s work every day. Your gift will immediately be put to work, allowing us to deliver comprehensive and holistic help to those rebuilding their lives.
