Beyond Tolerance Wichita is hosting an event called “Love Your Neighbor.” This event will be an opportunity for community members and refugees who have been resettled by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) to come together to learn more about immigrants and refugees and to start a discussion about what it would take to help Wichita to become a more tolerant community. The event will gather individuals from different communities to gather around tables of 8-10 people with a trained facilitator to discuss the moral imperative of treating everyone with dignity and respect.
Representatives from IRC and EMM will be on hand to talk about the role of resettlement agencies and their role that communities can play in welcoming refugees to Wichita. This event is free and open to the public and will be hosted on Sunday, March 26th from 4:00-6:00pm at St. Marks Cathedral Church of God in Christ.
