The housing crisis in Missoula is actively affecting a multitude of communities including the population we aid and serve. At this time, we are seeking permanent housing options, mainly 3-4 bedroom private living accommodations for our families. Additionally, rentals close to public transportation are ideal! The IRC in Missoula is responsible for all costs upon move-in and provides continual support throughout the lease, depending on the client's need and specific program enrollment.
Below is a list of mandatory elements we need from any and all rentals that house our families.
- Safe, sanitary, and in good condition (rental doesn't need active repairs)
- A private home/apartment/duplex that is not shared with other tenants or family members
- Rental includes a kitchen with a sink, fridge, stove, and oven
- Rental also has at least 1 bathroom with a shower and toilet
- Rental needs to be within Missoula city limits
- Preferably, rentals should be average or below market rate, but this is flexible and will be handled on a case-by-case basis
- Lastly, any and all landlords must be able to provide a legal lease
If you, or someone you know, has a surplus of housing opportunities and would be willing to work with a refugee family, please reach out to [email protected] for more information!
