Help newcomer students get ready for school by contributing to the IRC's annual back-to-school drive. Every year, the IRC helps hundreds of refugee and immigrant students build skills - and confidence - to thrive in their new schools and community. By donating backpacks and school supplies, you can help these students start the school year off right.
Items needed:
- Backpacks of all sizes and styles (backpacks are currently our #1 highest need!)
- School supplies including 3-ring binders (high need), dividers (high need), pencils, pens, erasers, pocket folders, notebook paper, graph paper, pencil sharpeners, glue sticks, colored pencils, crayons, markers, rulers, and scientific calculators
- Old Navygift cards for school uniforms
Items can be mailed to our office or dropped of during business hours (M-F, 9-5) at 1200 S 192nd St, Suite 101, SeaTac, WA 98148.
Please drop off donations by September 18th in time for our big back-to-school night. Including an itemized list with your donation is helpful for tracking and distributing donations. Once items are received, we can provide a tax receipt for your donation.
