Thanks for taking a stand with newcomers by supporting the IRC!
Although we are still assessing the impact of recent executive orders, we’ll need to work together as a community to ensure our newest neighbors and their families are protected and equipped for success.
Whether you can give financially, donate supplies, or advocate, here are the top ways you can take action now so we’re prepared for whatever lies ahead.
Donate/Fundraise
Support from individuals, community organizations, faith groups, foundations, and other private sector partners allows the IRC to protect critical supports now at risk. See below to donate now or start your own fundraiser.
To discuss multi-year pledges, planned giving, or gifts from family and local foundations, contact Kelsey Eaton, Director of Development, at [email protected].

Collect Supplies or Host a Drive
Equip newcomers with the things they need most by collecting or purchasing furniture, household goods, and other essential items. Check out what items are needed in your area below:
Advocate
Call the White House at (423) 540-5105 and urge the Trump Administration to support refugees and other newcomers seeking safety in the U.S. Consider using the sample script below:
My name is [insert name] from [City/Town]. As a [person of faith/refugee/member of my community], I urge you to reconsider recent executive actions that target refugees, asylum seekers, and others in need of humanitarian protection. Most Americans support welcoming refugees and newcomers, who bring enormous economic and sociocultural benefits to the communities where they resettle. My community stands with refugees – and I encourage your administration to do so as well.
