Greece currently hosts approximately 50,000 refugees, most of whom will remain in the country. The International Rescue Committee ensures these refugees understand their rights and provides them with job training, and psychosocial support so that they can rebuild their lives.
The IRC provides support to Syrian refugees struggling to get by in Lebanon and the resource-strapped Lebanese communities hosting them. We also responded to explosion in Beirut, providing support including emergency cash and psychological first aid.
The International Rescue Committee provides vital support to refugees in Serbia who are fleeing war and unable to continue their journey to safety. Many are trying to reunite with relatives in western and northern Europe. And hundreds are children sent alone by parents who desperately desire a safer, better life for them.
