This helpful guide is made for educators who are welcoming Migrant children, specifically from Afghanistan, Ukraine and Hong Kong, but not excluding other countries. Chapters include planning and preparation for new arrivals, stress, trauma and adverse childhood experiences as well as case studies from newly arrived children. The Wales Strategic Migration Partnership have worked with schools to offer EAL strategies to improve language acquisition and offer tangible strategies for new EAL pupils to progress in their classrooms.
