The IRC, alongside 33 other humanitarian organisations, calls on EU member states to form a 'coalition of the willing' to relocate refugees, during the European Council meeting of 24-25 June. The coalition should lead the way towards a permanent, predictable relocation mechanism, starting by the relocation of 5,000 asylum seekers and refugees from Greece to safety, by September 2021 - one year after the Moria fires and the launch of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum.
