MEDIA ADVISORY: The IRC's Signpost Project Contender for Prestigious UN SDG Award

"The IRC is thrilled to announce that the global Signpost project is a finalist for a 2023 United Nations SDG Action Award, held in Rome, Italy, on 24 July. Signpost has been nominated for being the world’s first scalable approach to running digital, community-driven, and responsive information platforms in countries where people are impacted by conflict, disasters, poverty, and violence. 

"To date, Signpost has reached over 64 million people. When Signpost was first launched in 2015, there were 65 million people forcibly displaced. In just seven years that number has grown to over 100 million. As we mark the midpoint for the implementation of the SDGs and the 2030 agenda, the work of Signpost has never been more relevant, and more urgent.”
