The report, Afghans in Greece: A story of strength, resilience, and survival, sheds light on the difficulties Afghan asylum seekers and refugees face in Greece.
For more than 40 years, the people of Afghanistan have been forced to flee their homes and country. Despite the evident persecution and dangers they flee from, Afghan refugees in Greece face considerable barriers in accessing full and fair asylum procedures, as well as dignified reception conditions and integration support to rebuild their lives.
In this report, the IRC analyses these barriers and makes recommendations for specific measures to ensure Afghans in Greece, along with other asylum seekers and refugees, have full and fair access to Greek territory, asylum procedures, dignified reception conditions, and early and long-term integration support.
